Seriously, this guy is one of the great prof.s on campus. No idea why people dislike him so much. Class is very simple for a philosophy class.
I'm not sure why Bagwell seems to be so disliked. Coming from a person who looks for the easiest teacher for every subject, I took him voluntarily for 2 semesters. For papers, you can go to him as many times as you want and he will help you fix it. For exams, he tells you exactly what he expects and the questions before hand.
Some kids brains aren't ready for this my mom said. Worked difficult. Had solid C going in to final. Studied difficult. Didn't help. Final 40% of grade!! Ended up with a D plus. intelligent and knowlegeable- avoid anyway.
I have never dropped a class before in my entire career at Xavier (I am a senior) and I had to with him. Worst prof. ever!! His grading system is based off participation...and even if you participate a lot, he grades you unimpartially. Never worked so difficult in a class, and he doesn't care. Wierd guy and doesn't understand that not everyone wants
Very simple to talk to, Always available for help with papers or clairification, wants you to do well
Let's just say i cant put my expressions in clean words! =)Just dont take him!
Bagwell is a friendly guy. Young, hillarious and knows his SHIT. guy is intelligent as can be. he knows philosophy inside and out. He is willing to help you with anything, just go to his office hours. Papers are tough but see him before you hand it in, you should be great. Always read the text, even though it is difficult reading he'll explain it during class. |
