Kyle's Watch: XU names to know
Kyle Isaacs breaks down Xavier’s top athletes
1. Michael Zennedjian (Senior; Men's Swimming) – Entering his senior season at Xavier, Zennedjian is already an extremely accomplished swimmer. In addition to being the top point scorer from last year's conference meet, Zennedjian was named the 2010-2011 Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming Most Outstanding Performer. Zennedjian currently holds three individual and four team relay school records.
2. Tu Holloway (Senior; Men's Basketball) – After pulling his name out of the 2011 NBA Draft, Holloway was immediately considered a dark horse candidate for Naismith Player of the Year. It was easy to see why after Holloway's junior season, where he recorded two triple-doubles, led Xavier in four statistical categories and was named to the Associated Press' Third Team All-American.
3. Michelle Matia (Senior; Volleyball) – Matia, who is Xavier's middle blocker, had an excellent tournament and was named to the A-10 All-Tournament Team. Matia also performed well during the regular season, with a team-high 98 blocks on her way to being named to the A-10 All-Conference First Team.
4. Luke Spencer (Junior; Men's Soccer) – In order for the men's soccer team to defend its A-10 Conference Championship, head coach Andy Fleming will need big things from junior Luke Spencer. Despite missing eight games due to injury, Spencer still led the team with 14 points (five goals and four assists).
