Very enthusias. about her subject. But the class was focused around routine FInc crunching numbers and no real life applications, was pretty dull for me. I liked Stephanie's energy - I guess she tried her great to make it as fascinating as it gets for this friendly of class.
Her courses were clear & engaging. She knew the material well & was happy to answer questions. She was flexible if you had to miss class & even garnered feedback for the online course homework. The online homework problems are a huge help. The exams give as much weight to definitions as problems. The course prepared me well for FINC 600.
Beware: She will report you to the dean of students if you argue with her. Has no interest in students.
Hands down the great prof.!!!
She was the only great prof of my last semester. She is logical, clear and a great communicator. The material is difficult, but she makes it clear. If I have one critique its that she grades with no flexibility. You spend 90% of your time preparing for the math on the exams and it represent less than half the grade. If you want to learn its great.
Great Prof! Would take her class again. Has industry experience, so she explains how to apply material in business settings vs. just teaching theory. exams are difficult, but impartial. She points out what is important for exams & gives practice problems. If you pay attention in class, keep up with homework & study practice problems, you'll be fine.
I think i learned more in this class than my 600 level class. Stephanie really explains everything well so you can understand/retain it. Having such a great foundation made taking later courses easier. Just pay attention in class. You definitely dont need to read the book!
outstanding teacher. Explains what to study for exam. Everything she says will be on the exam is...half class was still there after 2 hours for the exam. Fav prof. so far. |
