Basically the same thing as 115 but you just write smaller papers (by a page). Class is a lot of work. She is okay, is annoying sometimes. I would try and not get her. If you do get her not the end of the world |

Class time is worthless. very unclear with the style of writing she wants. Definitely picks favorites so suck. Do not recommend. |

Rhetoric was my first class at Xavier with Jacki and it is still my difficulexam and favorite class I have had. She is a great teacher who will push you to your limit but still help you and grade relatively impartially. I definitely recommend taking her if you like a challenge and enjoy difficult work! |

Jacki Lyon Was not the great english teacher I have ever had but she was not an english teacher to pass over. People call her class pointless because she does alot of peer review and takes multiple revision. She makes you write alot. Thats what makes her great. |

I took Prof. Lyon for English Composition first semester and Studies in Fiction second semester. She's a great prof. and I highly recommend her. Studies in Fic required a lot of reading. I would suggest not taking the class if you aren't going to read the material and study for tests/exams. She is always willing to help. Take Lyon! |

I took Lyon last semester. Now I'm taking her again. She reads your paper and gives great feedback. Now I'm getting A's on papers in other courses thanks to her. Sounds like somebody didn't get the A they wanted. Wa! Wa! She's outstanding. She cares and remembers everybody's name. You won't regret taking her. |

She picks favorites and insists on teaching MLA. Doesn't really even read papers, just checks to see if things are written according to MLA requirements. Going to class is basically worthless. |
