Great guy, better teacher. Hands down the great teacher I've had at Xavier. His courses are very long but he makes them fascinating no matter what.Knows more about history than anyone I've come across. He's a impartial grader, and his exam are manageable if you study. Larson is real down to earth and basically just what a prof. should be.
I can say this is the worst prof. i have ever had. He is very intelligent, friendly, and over all a great person, its just that he is a terrible teacher. He talks none stop, without writing on the board or giving pauses so that students can write notes. Its a simple B class. You could skip most courses and get a B.
intelligent man. Great personality. courses are long, and he does not take time to establish the big picture. If you are not already familiar with the topic or have a huge interest in it and lots of time to read on your own, avoid his class. The mid year exam & final are unmanageable. He grades papers impartially, but this class is a challenge.
He courses the entire class with little care of comprehension or understanding. It is the most dull class I have taken at Xavier University and I definitely recommend avoiding him at all costs. Not overall difficult, but it is very difficult to find the motivation to study after such a dull lecture verbatim from the text book. |
