she is a great professor
Exams aren't excruciating; I thought I got at most a 43 on one and I got a 71 (lowest grade). She is a great teacher if it's a one-on-one discussion, but during class if someone has a question, she walks over to the student and specifically helps him or her. Homework is not mandatory (a plus to the college workload), but it does help while studying
Didn't understand the material herself so it was difficult to learn from her. She would put problems on the board, the class would point out that she solved it wrong, then she would erase it and have to start over. I basically taught myself because she had no idea what she was doing. However, she was a friendly person :) just not great at teaching
Very confusing to learn from. Did not explain things well. The book we used was terrible. I never understood anything in the class. I talked to other classmates and they all had the same complaints as I did.
She new what she was talking about, however, she was not a teacher. Did not provide great examples, sometimes couldn't answer students questions. I received an A in the class, but mostly because I taught it to myself and made weekly calls to my Dad who has a Masters degree in Math Education. I would take the class again, with a different prof..
I had Dr. Kaminiski for two semesters in a row and liked both of them. Calculus is a dry subject, so you have to take that with the course and not blame it on the prof. She did a great job teaching the class, even though it was a little bit dull. Homework is not mandatory and shes prepares you for exams by moving slowly. Great prof.! Take her!
teaches in a very practical way, very applicable in multiple areas of study |
