He is probably one of the great philosophy teachers at Xavier. The books you read are very dry, and difficult to understand, but he explains them very well. He tries to make class fascinating, and more enjoyable. Doesn't give out A's on papers, but gives extra credit... TAKE HIM!
love him. he keeps things fascinating. tough grader but all the philo courses at xavier have a tough grading system.
SF is a great guy--very passionate about philosophy and interested in his students. I'm not a fan of philosophy but I enjoy his class a reasonable amount; he makes it fascinating and basically explains the readings to you every single day. He is a tough grader on papers, though, so don't expect As very often.
outstanding great teacher I've had. bottom line take him he makes a dull and annoying subject simple nd fun.
He is a really friendly guy and can be hillarious in a quirky friendly of way. It's difficult to stay awake in his 8:30 class. He grades papers friendly of difficult, but his mid year exam was simple. He is interested in getting to know his students. I would recommend him.
He is a really great teacher. He is understanding and willing to help. The class is decently simple if you are willing to pay attention. Coming to class is accommodating, but if you missed one or two it wouldnt matter greatly. He is a really great guy and hillarious. He is simple to listen to. I would choose him over any other teacher. |
