I am so thankful I got Dr. Engle my freshman year for bio. She was very clear and helps you whenever you need help. She is tough, but it gets you to learn and understand the topics. She is also very personal and will recognize you out of all the students in the class. Strongly recommend! |

Wanted to comment on off-campus research. I highly recommend it because it's a lot easier than doing it at XU. U simply do ur research during the summer and submit ur paper during the year. I applied to many research programs but got none, they're super tough to get in especially if u say ur premed. In that case e-mail a prof at a univ & volunteer |

Genetics was an alright class, BUT VERY IMPORTANT IN BIOLOGY. Dr. Engle is great for it because she really has a passion for it, which is great 2 see. Class is not difficult but u still have to stay on top of the material for exams. Lets u divide the grade distribution. I recommend putting about 15-20% in homework since u go over the answers. |

This is the great teacher I have ever had. She is so accommodating to students and really cares about us succeeding. The material is sometimes difficult but she does a wonderful job explaining it and making sure everyone gets it. She uses activities in class to help understand material. If you have Dottie Engle you are very lucky. |

She was very accommodating found several ways to teach different students. exams are difficult, but you have homework which helps the grades a lot, so do it. If you have a problem go and talk to her. I'm in Education and still liked he class. |
