I had Dr. Davis both semesters for Gen Chem and learned a lot. He is very personable and willing to help if you ask. Lecture can be dull sometimes, but if you stay on top of it and review regularly, you should do just fine. The great way to study for the final is off of previous exams bc he just uses questions similar to previous exam questions.
Dr. Davis knows what he is talking about. He moves incredibly fast through class & expects you to be able to keep up with everything that he is saying, which can be difficult when there is a huge problem on the board. He will only do 1 or 2 practice problems for each type of problem & if you don't understand it you are expected to figure it out yourself
Dr. Davis is an amazing chem prof.. He absolutely loves what he is doing and you can tell in his teaching. He goes very quickly, but will help you if you need help. This class is for people who want more of a challenge. Strongly recommend!
Dr. Davis is a terrific teacher and person. You don't have to love chemistry -- he loves it enough for everybody in the class. He knows just how much detail to explain in class, but he gives you enough credit to expect legitimate work from you, too. I appreciated that.
Dr. Davis is a great teacher if you can teach yourself. He talks to the board the entire time. The worst prof. I have had at Xavier. Avoid him if possible for your chemistry class.
outstanding prof., human being, and all around great man. His enthusiasm for his subject is contagious. |
