Being a student at Xavier means so much more than just gaining an education. Put yourself
out there and join the fun. Meet other Musketeers and learn something new. Here are ten easy ways to get involved at Xavier.
1. Intramural Sports Grab some friends or join a few random people and create a team. Whether you choose soccer, basketball, volleyball, football or baseball it's sure to be a great time and you'll meet new people. For information on how to sign-up and create a team visit http://www.xavier.edu/recreational-sports/intramural-sports/.
2. Theater Think you belong on stage? Join the Xavier Players and perform. They put on a number of plays and musicals each school year. Anyone can audition. Visit http://www.xavier.edu/players/
Club-Info.cfm for more information.
3. Join a club There are plenty of clubs from Spanish club, to Xtreme Fans to something that deals with your major. Attend "Club Day on the Yard" and visit the booths to find something that interests you.
4. Attend RA programs The RAs in every residence hall put on programs each month. Attend one or all of them. Paint a fish bowl and gain a new friend, go play laser tag or see a movie at the Newport AMC Theater. The possibilities are endless. You can attend any RA program, not just the programs
on your floor.
5. Join the Pep Band Can you play an instrument? Get a great seat at the basketball games and cheer the Musketeers to victory. For more information, visit http://www.xavier.edu/music/Pep-Band.cfm.
6. Join OrgSync OrgSync is a great tool to use to find out what's going on around campus. You can join clubs, get updates and manage your activities through this great website.
7. Muskies After Dark (MAD)
Attend a MAD event in Gallagher. Five times a year, when the sun goes down, the Muskies come out. Each event has a crazy theme, fun games, food and prizes.
8. Lecture Series in Cintas Head to the Cintas Center for an intellectual evening. Great speakers such as Elie Wisel and To Write Love On Her Arms founder, Jamie Tworkowski, have come in to speak. Xavier students can attend for free.
9. Community Action Day Sign up to do a day of community service with the Xavier community. Head out to volunteer at the local food pantry, rake leaves for a neighbor or any other number of service  opportunities. It's a great day of giving back, making new friends and having a great time.
