Police Notes of the summer
On August 20, 2012
- June 4, 1:33 p.m. - An employee reported the theft of a punching bag belonging to the boxing club from the armory.
- June 13, 11:13 a.m. - An employee reported the theft of two flat screen televisions valued at $700 each from the honors room of the Conoton Learning Commons.
- June 17, 1:49 a.m. - An officer on patrol discovered fresh graffiti painted on the retaining wall of the sports center lot.
- June 19, 5:14 p.m. - Two students reported giving approximately $50 to an unknown individual who was going door to door at the Village Apartments asking for money.
- June 20, 3:15 p.m. - A subject acting suspicious in the bookstore was issued a trespass warning letter and sent off campus. The suspect was found to have a lengthy history of felony theft and drug trafficking.
- June 22, 12:29 p.m. - A nonstudent acting suspicious in the locker room of the Schmidt Field House was arrested for theft, obstructing official business and criminal trespassing.
- June 26, 6:52 p.m. - An intoxicated nonstudent who was smoking cigarettes and looking at pornographic websites on a computer in the Gallagher Student Center was issued a trespass warning letter and sent off campus. Approximately 24 hours later, the same nonstudent was found in Conoton Learning Commons.
- July 1, 6:00 p.m. - A student living in the 1000 block of Dana Ave. reported that two rocks were thrown through their apartment window.
- July 2, 9:59 p.m. - An intern living on campus reported the theft of an iPhone from the recreation courts in the Victory Family Park.
- July 20, 8:53 p.m. - A nonstudent warned earlier to stay off campus was arrested in Buenger hall and charged with criminal trespassing.
- July 25, 3:36 p.m. - An employee reported the theft of a wallet from a unlocked locker at the sports center.
- July 29, 6:47 p.m. - Xavier Police broke up a fight on the basketball courts of the Victory Family Park. A visitor overheard that the fight was over a $20 game.
- August 1, 11:33 a.m. - Xavier Police, Cincincnanti Fire Department and Physical Plant responded to a fire alarm in the Conoton Learning Commons. Investigation revealed that window clearners activated the alarm.
- August 1, 8:34 p.m. - Xavier Police assited by Cincinnati and Norwood officers broke up a fight on the basketball courts of the Victory Family Park. The courts were closed and three nonstudents were argumentative when asked to leave.
- August 2, 7:13 p.m. - Xavier Police investigated an intrusion alarm at the US Bank in the Gallagher Student Center. The police searched the building and everything was cleared.
- August 10, 8:30 p.m. - Xavier Police notified Norwood Police of an intoxicated subject falling in the grass and urinating on cars near the intersection of Montogomery and Cleaney.
