We're looking for an entry-level Geologist to work on complex site characterization and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients.Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, you'll participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients. You'll gain valuable field experience with environmental sampling techniques and subcontractor oversight, spending about 70 to 90% of your time in the field. You'll balance your field work with some time spent in the office working on data interpretation and visualization, quantitative modeling, report writing, and coordinating field work. Safety will be your priority, as you contribute to "incident free" operations and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety in everything you do.You'll have the opportunity to help create a more sustainable world by ensuring environmental compliance, environmental management, and health and safety while working on diverse projects. In this role, you'll work with experienced geologists, engineers, and project managers who will help you start your environmental consulting career at a place like no other, a company that is invested in you and the environment around us.Kick off your environmental career at Jacobs - where we'll empower you to learn and grow as you deliver environmental projects that make our world better.Here's What You'll Need:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or other closely related science field* 0-2 years of experience within environmental consulting or related field* 40-hr HAZWOPER certificate or the ability to obtain this certification* Be physically fit to perform fieldwork and wear a respirator, if needed* Ability to travel for field projects up to 70-90% of the timeIdeally, You'll Also Have:* Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills* Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment* Experience with Microsoft Office softwareAdditional information:Estimated travel requirement is approximately 70 to 90%, generally related to fieldwork.
