Description:QC Chemist will conduct chemical, physical and performance testing to support the chemical manufacturing process. They will analyze raw materials, in-process materials and finished product samples. Perform data entry, generate and file records, set up lab equipment, perform calibrations and recommend/initiate corrective actions for lab and product non conformance.Testing includes: colorimetry, UV Vis, IR, titrations (auto and manual), viscosity, turbidity, Karl Fischer, digital density, melting and freezing point, GC, LC-MS and atomic absorption.After conducting the specific tests the chemists will analyze and record to Excel or SAP.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Must Haves:Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or off science with a minor in Chemistry0-2 years of experience depending on degreeBasic chemistry skills from school or industry experienceUnderstanding of wet chemistryAble to follow directions and proceduresPreferred:Chemical experienceFamiliarity with GC, titrations, HPLC, LC-MS, Karl Fischer and viscosityAbout Actalent:Actalent connects passion with purpose.
