We are looking for a marketing trainee candidate to work in our Cincinnati headquarters with the Environmental division.The marketing team supports the division and its underwriters by providing timely, relevant and convenient marketing and communication resources for their current brokers/agents while also helping them grow their book of business. The Environmental intern will support the marketing team as outlined below.Potential Projects:TOPICRESPONSIBILITIES:Events/ Conferences+ Update events/conference page on website,+ Assist with updating marketing calendar and preparing 2020 calendar+ Support planning for industry conferences and divisionally-hosted events+ Track key marketing metrics for Event Recap write-upsNewsletter+ Pitch story ideas,+ Review newsletter once designed,+ Contribute to "In the News" and "Community Service" articles,+ Document new subscribers each edition,+ Analyze Marketo data as well as other factors to determine areas of improvementSalesforce+ Add CRM information including: new contacts, events/ conferences detailsAwards Program / Gifting+ Create mailing labels,+ Mail room logistics,+ Performance write up,+ Reach out to underwriters confirm addresses as neededAdministrative+ Contribute to onboarding process document and training for division's new hires+ Place order for supplies when needed,+ Maintain broker business card database (add to CRM)+ Update cross marketing spreadsheet when needed+ Participate in collaboration meetings with the underwriting team as needed+ Assists with scanning & filing+ Perform other duties as assignedMarketing Campaigns+ Participate in planning meetings+ Provide research on topic area+ Contribute to project as needed \ Reorganize marketing list (inventory, social media, SharePoint articles) adding graphicsSharePointTimely updates as needed+ Help upkeep marketing calendar- check for new marketing trips each week, reach out to Underwriters for missing informationResearch / AnalysisIndustry trends and competitive intelligence research+ Scan the competitive landscape providing data on competition's marketing and product strategy+ Support underwriting in fact gatheringProfessional DevelopmentOngoing+ Review summer development plan on a monthly basis with marketing manager+ Meet with each sr. manager throughout internshipMedia+ Assist with any additional information needed (headshot, background information) for press releases, media features+ Maintain social media trackerWeb+ Assist with website revisions as well as shadow content management processActively pursuing a bachelor's degree; Field of Study: Insurance and Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Biology or Geology+ Must have strong analytical and communication skills, a high comfort level with technology, an understanding of the insurance industry and have a desire to learn on the job.+ Must have strong organizational skills as one works with different areas of Marketing, other departments and third-party vendors to coordinate efforts and manage the production and distribution of content and products.+ Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office and intermediate Excel skills.+ Desired but not a requirement: Experience in providing strategic and analytical support through data mining, competitive intelligence, surveys, statistical analysis and other qualitative and quantitative research techniques.+ Desired but not a requirement: Experience in Salesforce, social media analytics tools, TableauID: 27429External Company URL:
