About the Department The Cincinnati Bearcats compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics as a member of the American Athletic Conference. This is a term-limited, 12-month position eligible for a 12-month extension (2 years maximum) based on performance and evaluation. The position will report to the Assistant AD, Ticket Sales.This is an entry-level position for an individual interested in a career in ticket sales operations. Upon the conclusion of the term, you will have equipped yourself with the foundational knowledge, skills, networking and support necessary to pursue a full-time position.This is a 40 hours per week position (not benefit eligible), paid at an hourly rate (equivalent to approximately $1,525/month). Some overtime may be needed. Evening and weekend hours may be required.Duties include but are not limited to: Make calls to organizations, local businesses, and fans regarding ticket opportunities Enter and track customer data in CRM system Provide customer service on the phone and ticket window Focus on theme day sales (group sales) via community outreachPerform miscellaneous duties as assigned for a specified division or program of the Athletics Department. The internship is an on-the-job training program designed to provide the individual with experience in a selected field and/or area of interest within intercollegiate athletics.The University of Cincinnati may offer internships within the following areas of Bearcat Athletics:Student Academic Support ServicesStrength and ConditioningAthletic TrainingTicket OfficeMarketingMedia ServicesSport-specific OperationsBusiness AffairsNCAA ComplianceAthletic Internships are non-exempt positions designed to last a maximum of twenty-four (24) months in duration and are not benefits eligible.Essential Functions Perform various duties related to a specific department within Athletics.Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree required. Skill in the use of personal computer and related software applications. Desire to pursue a career within intercollegiate athletics. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart information.
