SCHEDULE: Full-time
The Chief Administrative Intern Program allows students to gain
real-world work experience in their academic field. During the summer months,
interns will engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns will be paired with
industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch
their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding
within Technology. If the intern performs well throughout the internship, there
will be opportunities for fulltime employment once the intern graduates.
Interns will participate in activities to enhance
connection to the company as a whole and encourage personal growth. Some of
these activities include:
+ Formal onboarding
event for all students to ensure integration to the organization and program
+ A one on one
mentorship with a leader for the duration of the program
+ Cadenced Learning
series to build student's acumen and focus on learning the business
+ Opportunities to
grow and develop through social and networking events
Business Analyst
Interns at Anthem may find themselves in various business units across the
company supporting key initiatives. Interns working within the Reimagine
Solutions team may find themselves focusing on the following customer
experiences:
+ Creating
visibility into the current customer experience
+ Driving
cross-functional connectivity in what, why,
and how we deliver to our customers
+ Building
accountability for delivery of people, process, and technology improvements and
subsequent goal realization
+ Advancing key
behaviors and mindset changes to scale customer-centricity across the
enterprise

+ Artificial intelligence pilot to predict patient
care needs
+ ID card address management system pilot
+ Change Management training module creation and
roll-out
+ Salesforce Intake and Workflow Application

+ Clinical Decisioning Framework development
+ Bi-Directional EMR Integration pilot
What we are looking for:
Anthem's Business Analyst Interns will have
a passion for the cross section of healthcare, business and technology.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication
+ Superb problem solving skills using logic and data
+ Critical thinking and analytical skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas,
filtering, creating pivot tables, using VLookups
+ Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint creating
visually impactful presentations with charts, images, and formatting
+ Process improvement, including data analysis,
application of process centric methodologies/tools
+ Project management, including time management, template
development, action item monitoring/reporting
Location: Anthem's Business Analyst
Interns can work out of Atlanta, New York City, Indianapolis or Chicago.

Qualifications
+ Pursuing a BA/BS at an accredited college or
university in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Economics, Finance,
Healthcare Management or Healthcare Administration
+ A rising Junior
or Senior with a Graduation date between August 2021 to May 2022
+ GPA of 3.0 or
above
+ Advanced user of
Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
+ Intellectually curious self-starters with the
ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible team environment
+ Active in case study competitions or consulting
clubs
+ Experienced leaders in student or volunteer
organizations
+ Proven analytical
skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities
