Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. Contacts other departments and/or outside vendors to resolve problems. Assist supervisors and co-workers in the Accounting department.


  • Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software
  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers
  • Code documents according to company procedures
  • Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence
  • Process check run and all petty cash checks written
  • Print reports to update company spreadsheets throughout the month
  • Match invoices with appropriate documentation in system
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Model exemplary internal and external customer service

Associate's Degree or 3rd or 4th year student working towards a Bachelors Degree


One to two years work experience


Computer Skills

Working knowledge of e-mail applications, Microsoft Office applications, relational databases, and G/L software
