Nick Hagglund – Men’s Soccer Hagglund, a junior defender, has been a staple of the Xavier men’s soccer
team since his freshman season. Last season, Hagglund was named to the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic First Team and the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team. He was recently named to the 2012 Hermann Trophy Watch List. The list is comprised of 42 players, only ten of them defenders, to be
watched to receive intercollegiate soccer’s highest individual award.
Tom Ohlman – Mens Cross Country A junior on the men’s cross country team, Ohlman has the ability to help
the team be very successful in the 2012-13 season. During his freshman season, he earned four top-25 finishes and won Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Week three times. In his sophomore campaign, Ohlman was able to secure four top-15 finishes, named to the Atlantic-10 Academic All-
Conference Team, and was the top finisher for the Musketeers in the A-10 Championship placing 10th.
Sydnee Fields – Women’s Soccer The junior, recently named captain, played 16 games as a freshman at midfield
and was a key component to its success. During Fields’s sophomore year she was able to play in all 18 games, starting 17 of them. She has been crucial to the success of the defense. Fields was also named to the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll both semesters.
Stephanie Vorherr – Volleyball Vorherr is entering her senior year and has played almost every game since
her freshman year. She has been named the A-10 Libero of the Year three consecutive seasons and currently is ranked third all time for number of digs at Xavier with 1,594 digs. Vorherr was the first women’s volleyball player at Xavier to be named to a regional team since 2007.
Korey Ward – Men’s Golf The sophomore golfer was second on the team in scoring with an average of 73.90 strokes per 18 holes. He earned the Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Week during the Amelia Island Intercollegiate invitational when he shot another 5-over-par. More recently, Ward was able to secure a spot in the 2012 U.S. Amateur Championship when he tied the Camargo Club course
record with a two-round total of 133 strokes.
